The Annual Town Meeting is not a council meeting. It is a meeting of town electors taking place between 1 March and 1 June. Electors can contribute to the agenda and in practice these meetings often celebrate local activities and debate current issues in the community. This meeting is NOT a town council meeting. It is a meeting of the town and is a legal requirement on every parish/town council to be held annually. Think of it as a company Annual General Meeting where shareholders (which in effect the electors are) attend.
- Questions may get raised on the day. However these will be dealt with after any written questions have been dealt with
- Written questions can be by post or by e-mail.
- Questions raised in writing can be either raised by the originator in person, or they can be raised for discussion without the originator present.
