Plastic pollution has sadly become synonymous with all of our favourite coastal activities – from surfing to swimming, beach holidays to wildlife watching – it is simply an expected part of our experience.
But one that we should not, and do not, accept.

The Hornsea community Big Spring Beach Clean is on behalf of Surfer’s against sewage, this is just part of one of our initiatives to becoming a plastic free township and gaining the status for the town.
The plastic free initiative is to hopefully get more business to think about our environment and act now .
The public is to be more conscious about what they can reuse or dispose of more efficiently , using biodegradable products.
Putting these initiatives into place and constantly improving them will lead to a better Town and healthier oceans , which will promote more tourism.
We really can’t lose and as we’ve seen over the past few weeks Hornsea has the passion and drive to make the difference.
The Rasparilla Diner is located above the Amusement Arcade in the leisure centre carpark next to Sullivan’s Fish & Chip shop.
